Lot 12-2 245 Highway Highway

Description

Often times acreages have a story, this one offers a story more than 240 years in the making. Set in beautiful Malignant Cove, this 15.13 acre wooded parcel offers privacy, natural beauty, and the peaceful sound of the Brook winding through the property. With access available from both Highway 245 and Greendale Rd, off of Old Maryvale Road, as well as NS Power Poles running close by, the land offers flexibility for those imagining a future home, recreational retreat, or simply a piece of Nova Scotia to call their own. But what makes this property truly special is its history. The parcel forms part of an original soldiers land grant awarded in 1785 to the MacDonald family, who came from Scotland and served with the British forces during the American Revolution before settling in this part of Antigonish County. More than two centuries later, the land remains connected to the same family. Towering trees, flowing water and generations of history give this property a character that can't be recreated. There is something pretty remarkable about walking land that has remained part of one family's story since the earliest days of settlement in the area. Now, for the first time in generations, there is an opportunity for someone new to become its steward and to write the next chapter. With beautiful beaches minutes away, the Town of Antigonish only a 15 min drive and the well known St. FX University close enough to commute, this could be the location where you will truly Feel Like Home.
